This afternoon was our once a month after school STEM Club. Today’s challenge was to create a nest from objects found in nature to hold four eggs(marbles). At first they all seem to think of this challenge was to easy as they were handed their gallon ziplock baggy and they headed out doors. Some students gathered sticks and leaves and dried grass and others brought in large sticks. One girl just filled her bag with moist dirt.
Quickly they found out this wasn’t as easy of a task as they had first thought. Some figure out how to twist their grass together to make their nest. And others were working really hard to tie together small sticks with grass to form their nest.
